Finalist in Four Categories SEANZ Awards 2018

On Friday 28th of September, the annual Fronius SEANZ awards were held in Auckland celebrating the best solar and battery installations done by New Zealand companies both here and in the South Pacific.

We were finalists for:

  • Best Off Grid installation for Whareponga Papakainga
  • Best Community Energy Project for Whareponga Papakainga
  • Best Solar and Storage Grid Connected for Camp Glenorchy
  • Best Sustainable Energy Innovation for Camp Glenorchy

Both of Whareponga Papakainga and Camp Glenorchy were inspiring projects with sustainability central to their outcomes.

Whareponga Papakainga is an off-grid Maori housing development where solar and batteries have enabled development to happen in an isolated and wonderful part of East Cape, New Zealand. Camp Glenorchy is a beautiful campground at the end of Lake Wakatipu situated amongst the mountains at the head of the lake. They are totally committed to leaving the world a better place and it is this commitment which has seem them awarded Net Zero Certification.
